Similarity and dissimilarity of size and size-related shape variance and distances are expressed by canonical variable analysis and un-weighted pair-group averages. The potentially confounding influence of size is tested empirically and population relationships are discussed in terms of shape or size-related shape variance. Results of the UPGMA clustering reveal several discernable clusters that reflect previously documented cranio-facial similarities of Greeks and Macedonians, and Bosnian and Croatians. Unique to these analyses and supported by the complex ethnohistory of the Iberian Peninsula is the relationship between Spanish populations to Norse, Egyptian and Hungarian groups, which is most likely reflective of multiple migrations and settlements.
