N2  - The study reports growth pattern of external ear of the Bengali boys and girls aged between newborn and 5 years living in and around Calcutta. Boys show larger dimension than girls in all the age groups. The rates of increment and velocity are not similar for both the sex. More data are needed to understand the mechanisms and the trend of growth pattern of external ear.
