N2  - On an assemblage of 574 medieval and 111 modern age skulls from the Ducové burial site in Slovakia the health state of the denture was studied, with special regards to the difference between the two differently dated phases of the same burial ground, to difference between males and females and between various age groups of the deceased of both sexes. The presence of caries and intravital losses in the individual teeth were also followed. For the evaluation caries intensity and caries frequency values were used.
