The study of superpositions, weathering degree, of the styles and subjects and the comparisons with other known Libyan localities demonstrate the early knowledge of cattle breeding contemporary with big Aethiopian fauna style (bubalus, elephants, rhinos, hippos, etc.). Many of the Mathrndush carvings are bovidian comparable with the well known paintings from Tassili. The communicative role of the rock art in general is stressed. ER -
