The use of local material - two kinds of eucalyptus bark - is stressed. Climatic adaptations for the rainy season - the use of rock shelter and the construction of higher sleeping platforms are also mentioned. In 1969, a painted bark shelter was discovered in the Upper Wilton River area. A short description and photographic documentation of this unique find is attached. ER -
