Abstract | This palaeopathological study compares two cases of skull asymmetry with three clinical cases. After describing the skeleton and its pathological changes follows a morphological comparison with the use of cephalograms (tele-X-ray pictures) according to Jarabak. The authors deal with the pathogenesis of defects, with their presence in other prehistoric finds and they discuss also differential diagnosis. As a result of our study condylar hyperplasia was recognized in one case, and anomalous muscle traction with certain features of the torticollis in the other. | | Keywords | Skull Asymmetry - Palaeopathology | |
