Abstract
In the devastated pyramid complex of the Fifth Dynasty pharaoh Raneferef in Abusir several small fragments of the king's mummy were discovered. Not less fortunate was the discovery of fragments of the king's statues including his six complete likenesses. These discoveries offered us an unique opportunity to compare the results of the anthropological examination of the remnants of the king's mummy with his best preserved likeness. The results of the iconographic analysis seem to correspond with some of the results of the anthropological examination.
