Abstract
The study of fossil hominids enables to discover specific anatomic features. Different authors propose then a personal denomination. This sometimesresults in certain ambiguities. Based on a few examples, we try to show the importance of a unified paleontological nomenclature.

Resume
L'étude des hominidés fossiles conduit a la découverte de caracteres anatomiques spécifiques. Les différents auteurs proposent alors une dénomination personnelle. Cela entraîne, parfois, quelques ambiguités. A partir de quelques exemples, nous souhaitons montrer l'importance d'une normalisation de la nomenclature paléoanthropologique.
