Abstract
During last decades many new finds of human remains were discovered during the excavations of Bronze and Iron Age settlements. These remains do not represent normal burials but traces of complex events linked with human sacrifice, ritual feasts, cannibalism and other features. The author surveys the contemporary state of knowledge with possible interpretations.
