								| Abstract | | A representative sample of Hungarian conscripts were taken from the cohorts of the 18-year-old young males in 1998 (n=8,000). Anthropometric, medical and socio-demographic data were collected in the sample. In this study only the effects of some socio-demographic factors on the cephalic and the morphological facial indices were analysed, but the effects of genetic factors were also observed. A rapid debrachycephalisation and the tendency of the face to become narrower and higher were also found in the sample. | |   | | Keywords | | Cephalic index - Debrachycephalisation - Socio-demographic factors - Genetic factors - Hungarian conscripts - Morphological facial index | |   |
