It is with deep regret and profound sadness that we inform all colleagues: Doc. MUDr. Vladimír Novotný, CSc, a long-time member of the editorial board of the Anthropologie, has died on 30th November 2019 at the age of 80 years.

'Puech PF, Puech B, Cianfarani F, Tichy G, 1991: Cut Marks on the Skull of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Anthropologie (Brno) 29, 3: 221-224'.
The skull deposited at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, was exhumed in 1801 at the cemetery in Vienna (Le Charivari 1906). Superimposition and osteometrics have given evidence that craniofacial distinctiveness of the cranium is consistent with the portrait (Puech 1987; Puech nad Puech 1988). Here we describe injuries to the skull sustained during life and after death.
