The Neighbours on the Plate
The exhibition deals with the South-Moravian and Low-Austrian cuisine. Through a special
way of presentation it tries to contribute to the mutual knowledge of the population on
both sides of the border. It shows differences as well as common things in the traditional
rural and urban cuisine. The theme is presented throughout from the second half of the 19th
century to the present days. The range of topic is wide - from the basic satiety to opulence,
from a primitive food preparation to culinary art of the top quality.
