In addition to its scientific and documentation work the museum organises temporary exhibitions, lectures etc. The Children's Museum, a special education and leisure facility, is dedicated to the youngest generation of museum visitors. The Moravian Museum is a state-funded organization of the Ministry of culture of the Czech Republic. The Moravian Museum is a research oriented institution; its main task is to carry out the basic and applied research, to disseminate its results by the means of teaching, publications or technology transfer in the frame of the museum activities.
